The house of veteran cricketer Mohammad Hafeez, located in Defence area of Lahore, was burglarized late Sunday night. An FIR has been filed at the Defence Police Station after Hafeez’s wife’s uncle reported the incident, as both Hafeez and his wife were away from home. Hafeez is currently playing for Quetta Gladiators in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8, while his wife was in Islamabad for work.
According to the police, the robbers broke into the house in the middle of the night between Sunday and Monday, and reportedly took away $20,000, £4,000, €3,000, and 5,000 AED. The CCPO Lahore, Bilal Siddique, has taken notice of the incident and asked for a report from SP Cantt, directing an immediate inquiry into the matter.
